In my effort to find a USB SD card reader with only ONE slot for ONE card (multiple slots hog up Path Letters on my Disk Management), I ended up with a MICRO card reader USB device rather than the size I needed, and discovered it was too small for the "reader" portion of this item. This felt like a BONUS OPTION for me! Especially after my search for a new USB reader (for connecting the card to the PC). it allowed me to extract a micro card from the larger "reader" card. After inspection of my new card, sure enough, I noticed a small notch that the old 4 GB did not have. Later, I found myself reading the reviews and saw someone complain how it's just a "reader" and the real storage card is but a wee micro card no bigger than my pinky fingernail. I had trouble finding the right (physical) size card, til I found this one.Īfter receiving it, I was pleased to find it was exactly what I needed and it worked with my camera. ![]() So here I am in 2021 on Amazon trying to find a new SD card for my 2008 camera. MEMORY STICK IND AND MSTK PRO IND FULLWell, after many years of finding more practical uses for a digital camera besides the standard photos & videos capturing the good times (like STORING handy pics & vids to assist in shopping or showing repair people my tech issues, etc), I discovered that 4GB was no longer enough space as it was getting full wit hall my "archived" media. I originally sought this item out to expand the storage space on my digital camera, which at the time (2008 or so) either came supplied with a 4GB SD card, or I bought the card separately and "on the cheap" thinking I'd never exceed the 4GB capacity so why spend more on larger storage. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.Nice device! Easy to use, easy to transfer all my data form the previous 4 GB card! And it came with a surprise that I wasn't even aware of and might never have discovered. There's also apparently some sort of "toothpick" trick to make the card stay in a certain position and get the PSP to read it properly, but I need to see pics of that to understand it (might look into this later).īefore even using the adapter I formatted both microSD cards to FAT32 with default allocation size (16k), Quick Format checked, and the volume labels being PSP0 for the first card, and PSP1 for the second. MEMORY STICK IND AND MSTK PRO IND PCI tried using my PC to format the volume as NTFS (Quick Format unchecked) as was suggested in the comments here, but the PSP still wouldn't get past the "There is no Memory Stick inserted" error. This particularly happens when accessing the card storage under Videos/Movies on the XMB. ![]() MEMORY STICK IND AND MSTK PRO IND UPDATEWhile it's still technically usable (I was able to update put OFW 6.61 on the card and successfully update), it also makes the PSP freeze for ~15 seconds before finally responding. After the format attempt, viewing the contents through the PSP USB connection reveals a single ~59GB exFAT volume with the files MEMSTICK.IND and MSTK_PRO.IND (I guess it was exFAT it was the selected option when right-clicking and selecting "Format"). I bought this to use with my US PSP-1001 that I wish to put CFW on along with this micro SD card to go along with the red and gold SanDisk 32GB Extreme PLUS that I already have, but whenever I try to format the adapter on the PSP, it comes up with a "There is no Memory Stick inserted" error. ![]()
